NSCDC arrests truck driver

NSCDC arrests truck driver, scrap dealer, online payment scammers

Adamawa State has become an expert at using fraudulent payment receipts for internet transactions to defraud and harm innocent victims and members of the public.

The Command sent out agents right away after receiving the first complaints from two direct victims (names withheld) of the aforementioned internet payment scams committed by Hamisu and his group. On Sunday, January 24, 2025, at around 4 p.m., Hamisu was captured along Orege Road, Ajegunle, Ajeromi-Ifelodun.

However, Yinusa, Mohammed, and a few other group members who were still at large at the time of writing are currently being pursued by NSCDC men.

Speaking to journalists on Monday at the Lagos State Commandant’s headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja, Mr. Adedotun Keshinro said that the investigation showed that the suspects frequently used fictitious alerts to intimidate and defraud business owners, pose as soldiers wearing camouflage uniforms and berets, and phone victims using multiple phone numbers.

07061467078, 09027162617, 8142648467, 08024686757, 07087007106, and 07042963628 are the phone numbers.
As a result, Kenshiro called on the public to be mindful of the evil practices of internet scammers.

He warned citizens that doing business with strangers could have negative consequences for them in the long run. Four suspects were displayed by the Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Monday after being detained for a variety of crimes that left their unwitting victims crippled.

Olamilekan Olowookere, a 29-year-old man from Osun State who was one of the paraded suspects, was an expert at purposefully damaging a vehicle he was hired to drive.

The command patrol team arrested Olowookere and two other individuals, Abba Idris (a scrap dealer), 28, of Kano State, and Ejitunde Wasiu (a vulcanizer), 48, of Osun State, at approximately 0900 hours on Monday, January 27, 2025, for vandalizing and dismembering the truck he was hired to drive. It was later discovered that he had sold the parts as scraps to his prospective buyers.
