According to reports, gunmen have slain a lady who was abducted during an attack on their home in the Kubwa suburb of Chikakore in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The early morning Monday attack resulted in the kidnapping of Mrs. Esther Adesiyan, her husband, Mr. Adesiyan Michael Akinropo, her son, and her husband’s older brother. After capturing the five, the intruders allegedly relocated to another site that had a chicken farm, kidnapped a man, and assaulted his wife.
A family member who chose to remain anonymous told Abuja Metro that the woman’s body was discovered Tuesday morning in the Tafa LGA of Niger State, close to the Ijah-Gbagyi town.
He claimed that after learning of the corpse’s discovery, local vigilantes informed their counterparts in the Chikakore region.
“I was called in the morning by the DPO of the Byazhin division here in Kubwa, and we went to the village together to evacuate her remains,” he added. It has been placed in the mortuary of Kubwa General Hospital.
Perhaps believing the woman was exhausted from being led through the forest, the kidnappers killed her and continued with the other prisoners.
The dead left behind four children, including the boy who was abducted with her, Abuja Metro also learned.
As of yesterday evening, when this news was filed, the kidnappers had not contacted the victim’s family, the family source claims. Regarding the development, Josphine Adeh, a superintendent and the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, was contacted multiple times, but nobody picked up.
