Olamide, a senior colleague, has been accused by Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, better known by his stage name Portable, of stealing his producer, dancer, and promoter.
He made this charge in reaction to the purported falling out between Asake and Olamide. Asake’s alleged contentious breakup with Olamide’s YBNL is still making headlines.
In response to the reported feud, Portable made fun of Olamide in a video message that was shared on his social media accounts. He said that the rapper had not signed him to his label but had merely promised him a verse.
“The person you helped, Asake, will never send you again.
” Even if you offered me poetry, I still appreciate it more than Asake did. He claimed he was more grateful than Asake, whom the rapper signed and supported, even though Olamide merely contributed a verse to his song “Zazu.”
Additionally, he asserted that Olamide took his producer and dancer instead of signing him. “If you had asked me to sign to your record label, I would have been delighted to do so, Olamide Baddo,” said Portable.
But instead of signing me, you took away my producer, dancer, and promoter, Kogbagidi.
You are everything. See if I can advance further than Asake by promoting me the way you promoted him.
