The text Asa Kingdom written by Udoinyang Mbat, is a drama that involve two kingdom as those people they welcome with Godly love, and accepted them in good faith turn out to be a thing of regret.

The drama opens as Ebum family members sit surrounding a burning fire set on a dry wood having conversation about the unfolding state of affairs in the kingdom, due to their kind hearted and love they show to humanity makes them to be in a deep sorrow day and night. Utom Ebum’s first son ask his father, if they will run to the mountain top, since the land is no longer conducive for them, but his father said no there’s indeed a future and hope ahead.

However, south of Asa kingdom is where the Linkusi people settles, the king of Linkusi Imono assembles his cabinet members to discuss about the conspiracy against Linkusi community that they cannot sleep with their two eyes closed. Iton one of the elder said they have not acted in good faith with people that have shown them love and grace, they agree to have a dialogue with the people of Asa kingdom so that they will see them as responsible heads, Imono ask Sam the youth president of Linkusi to address the people to cease every activity till further notice, to allow the elders to settle the crises with Asa kingdom amicably.

Also the youth president of Asa kingdom mobilize the youth to the palace to speak with the king, but the king order  Uto one of the elder of Asa kingdom to address them on behalf of him. Asuma the king of Asa kingdom summon the family heads to the palace and send for Ifa the chief priest of Alcony (shrine), and reaching the shrine Uto was shock by the revelation Ifa had.

Asa Kingdom king meet with his cabinet to discuss about the situation at hand, they agree to have a conversation with Linkusi community by 12.00  noon on Asa Love Day. Asa council of chiefs take their seat on the right facing the throne while Linkusi seats on the left side, the king addresses the people that they are here for peace and to settle the dispute among them, Imono the Linkusi king said that they have been in the land for more than one year but still under their bond, and it is time to give them land to plant their corn, not being cage like birds. The conservation was going well when Sam the youth President of Linkusi kingdom stand up against it, that he will take the option next to him which is war in the land.

Furthermore, there was kidnapping and killing in Asa kingdom by the youth of Linkusi and bloodshed in the land. But Imono the king of Linkusi was not in support with the decision of Sam the youth president, He caution him by saying that he is an Apostle of peace, but Sam did not mine. There was an emergency meeting in Asa kingdom, Ifa the Chief Priest led the king and the elder to Alcony, Asuma stand with the family heads, he lifts up his staff and prays and cry to Alcony the shrine of the goods. Seven days after the historic meeting and the subsequent prayers, there appears to be a spiritual upheaval in the kingdom as those who consent to the evil act of the Linkusi youth begins to experience strange plagues. Sam enter Asuma’s palace with pot of water filled blood and with his anus leaking, a lot of thing happen in the land of Linkusi including their cassava all dying, their farm was fill with water that refuses to dry resulting from the anger of the goods of Asa kingdom.

Consequently, they pleaded with the king to forgive them that they will never do evil again. Asuma ask them to go in peace. The two ethnic group reconcile as the Linkusi chief enter each bearing a rose of flower, Asa kingdom chiefs enters with flora to grow  together to signify love and unity and uncommon brotherhood among them, traditional food was been serve to everybody, they were very happy, the king of Asa kingdom give the final speech and they all departed to their different houses.
