After obtaining ₦8 million from the family, unknown gunmen suspected of kidnapping have reportedly broken into the home of a Kano businessman in Garo town, Kabo Local Government Area of Kano State, and taken his daughter, Zainab.
According to information obtained, the terrible occurrence happened when ten or so gunmen broke into the home of prominent businessman Alhaji Auwal early on Sunday morning.
Seven of them held different weapons, but three of them were armed with guns.
“They brought the whole family together in one location, causing panic and fear.”The family’s leader begged them to save his family, promising to comply with their requests in return for their protection. After demanding payment, the gunmen received ₦8 million.
The informant claimed that after obtaining the money, the attackers kidnapped the family’s eldest daughter, a recent high school graduate, and then fled the area.
Since the kidnappers have not yet been in touch with the family, it is uncertain where the abducted woman is.
