Arsenal Confirms Injured Havertz To Miss Rest Of Season

The Gunners’ failure to increase their attacking alternatives during the most recent transfer window has given manager Mikel Arteta a lot of headaches.
The Premier League title challenge for Arsenal was dealt a devastating blow on Thursday when it was announced that attacker Kai Havertz would miss the remainder of the season due to a hamstring injury. During the team’s warm-weather training camp in Dubai, the 25-year-old Germany forward sustained an injury. The severity of the injury was confirmed by Arsenal in a statement.

The club announced, “We can confirm that Kai Havertz suffered a hamstring injury during a training session in Dubai last week.”
The damage will need surgery, which will happen in the next few days, according to expert reviews and follow-up evaluations.
“Kai will start his recuperation and rehabilitation program shortly after surgery, and it is anticipated that this will continue into the preseason preparations for the upcoming season.”

With 14 games remaining, Arsenal, the Premier League runners-up the last two seasons, is seven points behind champions Liverpool.
The Gunners’ failure to increase their attacking alternatives during the most recent transfer window has given manager Mikel Arteta a lot of headaches.

Last month, Arsenal’s attempt to buy Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins was unsuccessful. For the rest of the season, Havertz was supposed to be at the head of Arsenal’s lineup. After suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury last month, Gabriel Jesus will miss the entire season.

Although Bukayo Saka hasn’t played since December, it is believed that the England international, who went to the Middle East with his teammates, will make a comeback next month. After being sent off during Arsenal’s loss to Newcastle in the second leg of the League Cup last week, Gabriel Martinelli will be sidelined for a while.
Only Leandro Trossard, Raheem Sterling, and Ethan Nwaneri remain the Gunners’ recognized forwards.
