The 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration period was originally set to start on Friday, January 31. However, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has set another new date and has provided justifications for delaying the start of registration for the UTME.
According to a statement sent by the board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, registration will open on Monday, February 3.
According to JAMB, the postponement was required to enable the board to make necessary modifications to its registration templates.
It further stated that it was investigating certain Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers after learning that they had obtained approval by using false facilities.
According to a statement sent by the board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, registration will open on Monday, February 3.
Part of the statement states, “The Board was informed by the Council for Legal Education that these changes are necessary due to the recent suspension of some law programs at specific universities.”
“The board sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience and acknowledges the disruption this may cause to candidates and other stakeholders.”
