AKWA POLY CANDLE LIGHT PROCESSION IN HONOUR OF OUR FALLEN STUDENTS   

It was a moment of grief as management, staff students and well-wishers gathered in their numbers for a candlelight procession in honour of two graduates from the institution who were recently involved in a ghastly automobile accidents while enrooted Katsina State for their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Programme.

The graduates, Comr. Victor Joseph Akpan and Comr. Innocent Peter Upere were among the five (5) prospective Corp members who died during the sad incident on Tuesday 27th July 2021.

The Rector, Barr. Moses Umobong expressed deep sadness over the incident describing it as shocking and devastating especially at a time where they were

supposed to reap the fruit of their labour having toiled 5 years to equip themselves with the knowledge needed to make themselves great.

He sympathized with the family of the deceased, the department of Mass communication, Course mates and friends of the deceased while praying that their souls rest in peace.

The Dean Student Affairs, Mr. Emmanuel Umoh, Head of Mass communication Department, Mr. Unwana  Charles, SUG President, Comr. Emmanuel Udonkwo, Speaker 7th Republic Parliament , Rt. Hon. Rhyne Edor. Expressed their bitterness over the sad incident, prayed against death and charged the student to have a rethink about their lifestyle as it will speak for them in the days ahead.

2021 ENGINEERING GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY OF NATIONAL ENGINEERING CENTER ANNEX/ BRANCH SECRETARIAT, UYO.

On the 27th of July 2021, the Student Union Government (SUG) President Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Comr. Udonkwo, Emmanuel Joseph, in line with the Financial Secretary, Comr. Esara Otobong Edidiong, led a delegation of student of the school of engineering students (ESA) Akwa Ibom State polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Ikot Ekpene to the era making event, Theme: Sustainable Infrastructure and Industrial Development in Akwa Ibom State. The critical role of engineers.

The event which took place at Ibom Hall, Uyo LGA, witnessed great and industrious sons and students, business associated and political class. It was a groundbreaking, education and renovating and mind blowing movement for the students of Engineering in Akwa Ibom State as each of the institution were highly represented.

The SUG president Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, Ikot Ekpene, Comr. Udonkwo, Emmanuel Joseph was decorated with a certificate of participation by the Nigerian society of Engineers, Uyo Branch.

AKWAPOLY RESCHEDULE DATE 2019/2020 SUG ELECTION

This is to inform all students that management has approved the conduct of 2019/2020 student Union

Government (SUG) Election through E- voting method.

The election proper has been rescheduled to hold as follow: Date Tuesday 29th June, 2021

THE PRESIDENT OF NON-INDIGENOUS STUDENTS OF AKWA IBOM STATE POLYTECHNIC, IKOT OSURUA CHAPTER, WELCOME BACK THE NON-INDIGENOUS STUDENTS.

The president welcomes back all the non-indigenous students in Akwa Ibom State polytechnic Ikot Osurua to a new academic semester. In his note, he prayed that the Lord Almighty will stand by all the students and also provide all what they need for the semester both financial and otherwise.

He also advice the non-indigenous students who are in part-time to take their studies serious and also prepared for their examination. He also wished them success in the examination.

Finally he remind the non-indigenous students that their weekly association congress have commenced again from 7th July, 2021.
