Man Utd defender Malacia joins PSV on loan

Tyrell Malacia, a defender for Manchester United, has signed a loan deal with PSV Eindhoven for the remainder of the season, the Premier League team confirmed.

After returning to action in November after a 17-month layoff due to physical issues, the 25-year-old Netherlands international has been getting back to full fitness.

Malacia, a left-back, signed a deal at Old Trafford through the end of the next season after joining United in 2022 for £13 million ($16 million) from Feyenoord.

In a statement, Manchester United announced that Tyrell Malacia, a defender, would be joining PSV Eindhoven on loan for the remainder of the 2024–2025 season.

“Earlier this season, Malacia made a comeback to action after putting in a lot of effort to regain his fitness and match acuity. Under Ruben Amorim, the Netherlands international has played eight times.”Tyrell will now play for Peter Bosz’s team in his native country for the remainder of the current campaign, as per the agreement.

The move was completed before the closure of the Dutch transfer window on Tuesday.
Malacia’s move comes after struggling United signed Denmark wing-back Patrick Dorgu from Lecce on Sunday.
